The effects of Covid-19 continue to ripple around the world. We have felt it in so many ways here in New Zealand, both at work and at home.
There have been numerous changes to the way we work and publish NZMEs stable of newspapers and inserted magazines. The loss of advertising revenue has been devastating and has lead to hundreds of job losses and reduced pay for many staff. I have been lucky and have continued to work through the lockdown from home.
Magazines have come down in size and many are no longer stand-alone publications and are now ‘run-of-paper.’ Sadly, Timeout is no longer considered viable even at its reduced size. So for the time-being, production has been suspended.
Here are the the covers I put together while working from home. Little did I know at the time, that they were to be the last.
