On November 28, 1979, an Air New Zealand DC10 crashed into the slopes of Mt Erebus in Antarctica, killing all 257 people on board. The Herald marked the 40th anniversary with a Shorthand presentation containing a video and podcast series.

It was also this week that saw the verdict in the Grace Millane murder trial. A trial that has held the nation gripped. I put together two Shorthand projects to mark the event. The first was a timeline detailing the tragic events leading up to Grace’s death and the second, a look at her life growing up in rural Essex in the UK.
